california day one: Disneyland!

After a long and arduous journey by car, we finally reached Anaheim, California. We stayed in a hotel right by Disneyland, so we could wake up and make it to Disneyland bright and early in the morning. Its hard for me to wake up early at home, real hard. But when vacation and Disneyland is involved, I can do anything.
We made it just in time to run onto Space Mountain before there was longer than a 10 minute wait. We then thought our luck was superb when we almost walked right onto Splash Mountain, but then it broke down on us. The nerve! We decided to go on the psychedelic Winnie the Pooh ride instead.
Disneyland is great when you have plenty of people to run all over and grab fast passes for you. Its also great when you have babies because Disney invented the "Baby Swap" which makes it easier for everyone to enjoy the same rides. Genius's.
We made a whole day of it and I loved it. We went on all the rides we wanted to, sometimes multiple times and had a lot of fun going on rides with the babies. I realized this trip that I am maturing. Disneyland was even funner with babies, I loved watching them enjoy the baby rides even more than riding the big kid rides for me.  But these two little girls made it real easy to enjoy Disneyland because they did not fuss once.  They were quiet amazing.  Hadley loved everything from the rides to the parades, and Afton just loved hanging out in her stroller.  Lazy baby.
We did all have to take a break at 7:00 and go back to the hotel to take a quick nap and eat dinner (In n Out!).  Were no super humans.
This is my favorite picture right now.  Look at those faces!!

Oh my GOODNESS!

Tyler thought his bright green shirt would help us locate him.  Little did he know that everyone  else was wearing bring green shirts.  He blended right on in.

TURKEY LEGS.  Need I say more?

Afton loved the turkey legs as well.

Looking at the new Cars ride.

The new ride! Cars Land just opened about a week before so we were luckily enough to check it out.  It was awesome.  I really don't know how Disney does it.  It felt like you were walking into the Grand Canyon.
This ride had a 2 1/2 hour wait all day long.  We fooled them by going in the single rider line and waited for only 30 minutes.

While everyone else went on the Cars ride for the first time, me and Kevin took the babies on a couple of rides.  They loved every single one.

Hadley kept saying "Weeeeeeeeeeeeee!"

Snuggling with my diet coke.  This was Afton 70% of the time.  She thought Disneyland was for chumps so she just slept all day.  I even took her on Haunted Mansion while she slept which probably wasn't the best idea, with people screaming and ghosts everywhere and such.   But she slept right on through.

This is what Afton did every. time. the sun hit her.  So funny.

Space Mountain.
And our favorite, Tower of Terror.
Turkey Leg.
The new cars ride.  Which this picture is funny because all of us and Kevin waited in the single rider line.  You usually don't ride with anyone you know when you do this.  Well in our case, we all got to ride in the same car except Kevin. Sad day for Kevin.
Teacups.
Carousel.
A turkey leg by the castle.
Yeay! for Disneyland.
